Fife Youth Music Forum

Wednesday night saw Tullis Russell Youth Band once again take to the stage – this time to entertain Fife Youth Music Forum at the Rothes Halls.

Fife Youth Music Forum is a development of Fife Council Education Service’s Youth Music Initiative work which, along with funding and direction from Scottish Arts Council (SAC), seeks to widen musical opportunities for the young people of Fife and aims to connect them with existing activities and find ways of expanding provision – all of these things across the whole spectrum of musical activity.

The Scottish Arts Council is promoting the formation of similar Youth Music Initiative Forums around Scotland. Fife’s Youth Music Forum held it’s initial and launch meeting in November 2009. Steven Craig, Vice-Chairman  & Conductor of TRIMB is a member on the Working Committee.

The band entertained the members of the Forum before and during the annual meeting & received great feedback from everyone involved.

This was a great opportunity to show case the hard work that has gone in to the band in recent months.
Well done to everyone involved.
