Tullis Russell Mills Intermediate Band

TRIMB

Have you ever wanted to play a musical instrument but thought you were too old?

Many adults wish they had learned to play a musical instrument when they were younger but were never really given the chance, and now feel they are too old to learn, well now thanks to a new initiative by the Tullis Russell Mills Brass Band that lost opportunity is now being offered. The Tullis Russell Mills Band are looking for adults who would like to be taught to play a brass instrument. Adults who come along to this new initiative do not need any prior musical training as everyone will be taught to read music and play an instrument, project organiser Steven Craig said ‘all we need is enthusiasm and a bit of free time’. Lessons will take place at the bands rehearsal facilities in Glenrothes and will be given free of charge and all instruments, music etc will also be supplied free of charge. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has played in the past and would like to get back into music again or for the complete novice who wishes to learn, and new players will be very surprised at how little time it takes before they are reading music and playing small tunes. This new initiative will run in parallel with a new youth band which is being launched in Jan 2010

Anyone interested in taking up this offer or looking for more information should contact Steven Craig on 07867 538699 or Alan Douglas on 07533853777.

You may have missed out in the past so make sure you don’t miss out this time round.
