Scottish Championships 9th/10th March 2013 – Perth Concert Hall
Saturday 9th March Fourth Section has 10 bands and starts 10.00 am – finish Approx. 12.30 – Results 1.00pm Third Section has 11 bands and starts 1.30 pm – finish approx.

There was an excellent display of young and old Scottish banding talent on display at the Howden Park Centre in Livingston on the weekend for the Besson Solo & Ensemble Contest run in conjunction with the Scottish Brass Band Association.

The Coalburn Band claimed the Scottish Borders BBA honours in Selkirk at the weekend, with a victory that had a touch of the Olympic spirit about it under conductor Gareth Bowman (above).

Death of popular Tullis Percussionist
The Tullis Russell Mills Band has announced the death of their highly respected and immensely popular percussion player Irene Carstairs on Thursday 26th July.
Guest of honour
Irene had been bravely fighting cancer since she was diagnosed in November 2010,
